
01.24.10 | "American Dream" - Sunnyside Records We're happy to announce that Taylor's first quartet recording "American Dream" (w/ Ben Monder, Ben Street, & Jeff Hirshfield) will be released on Sunnyside Records in May of 2010. The project is now in the final post-production stages, and will be mastered by Mark Wilder at Sony Music Studios in early February. More news soon on related performance dates.
11.24.09 | RECOMBINATION LIVE at DROM Taylor will unveil his new electro-acoustic project 'Recombination', featuring Henry Hey, Ben Monder, Nate Smith, and Todd Sickafoose on December 20th at Drom (Avenue A between 5th & 6th st.) at 9:30pm. The group will perform new music from their upcoming release on 19/8 records. The John Escreet Project performs at 8pm.
10.05.09 | New Quartet Project - "American Dream" Taylor went into the studio on September 28th and began recording his first quartet album, entitled "American Dream". The rhythm section is Ben Monder on guitar, Ben Street on bass, and Jeff Hirshfield on drums...they'll be re-convening at the end of October for one more day in the studio. 05.16.09 | "Recombination, Volume 1" in post-production! "Recombination" is entering the final stages of production. It's been beta-mixed by Taylor and is in the process of being final-mixed by Tyler McDiarmid of Geoff & Tyler Recording, who've mixed, produced and/or tracked albums by the SF Jazz Collective, Dave Douglas, Kenny Werner, & Marcus Strickland, amongst others. So far things are progressing very smoothly, and sounding amazing. It didn't hurt that Andrew Fellus at 58 North 6th Media Labs did a superb job of tracking the band, so it's sounded good from the start...more news soon...

01.27.09 | T.Rowe Price Commercial Features Music by Taylor A new commercial for T.Rowe Price, entitled 'Rice', features music by Taylor. It is the second in a series of animated 30-second spots currently being broadcast on national television. The piece was selected for it's starkness and it's multi-cultural flavor. His Steve-Reich-inspired composition utilizes marimbas, piano, and tablas, along with other Eastern percussion elements, to create an elegant musical tapestry...watch for it!
01.15.09 | Untitled Recording Project 2009 This February, Taylor will be taking to the studio to document some new music with an amazing band, comprised of Ben Monder (gtr), Henry Hey (keys), Todd Sickafoose (bass), and Nate Smith (drums). 09.01.08 | Taylor featured on Jimmy Dludlu's "Portrait" "I met South African guitarist Jimmy Dludlu at an after-hours jam session when I was on tour in Maputo, Mozambique. He asked me to come record with him the next day, which I happened to have off, and we had a great time in the studio." On this, Jimmy's fifth release for Universal, Taylor played on two tracks: "Man Who Lost His Shadow" and "We Used to Be African".

05.01.06 | Taylor's music in the movie “Larry Makes a Sandwich" Coldcut Films has recently released this short film for which Taylor composed the score. It tells the story of Larry, a hapless guy just trying to
do his job making sandwiches at the local deli. The problem is that he’s an immigrant from a far-away land and has no idea what a
sandwich is. The film follows Larry through his arduous journey from sandwich neophyte to sandwich expert.
04.01.06 | Guillermo Klein y Los Guachos "Live in Barcelona" This recording is now out on FS/NT. It was a special set for this band, at the end of a very special tour. Taylor has been performing with the band for over 12 years. Check out the live vibe in Spain on this new disc. The band will be perfoming at the Village Vanguard for two weeks in June of 2007.
